Foreign Policy Anxiety Indicator

Foreign Policy Anxiety Indicator
Check out the graphic, above. That was, and still is, me (and a whole lot of other people). How did we all get so paranoid?

The election results are a good illustration of "power to the people". Me--I haven't stopped chortling since the early returns...but I mustn't get too complacent. It's a whole 2 more years until the next opportunity.

I'm glad to say that my family did its' part--both of my kids voted, and while the ballot is secret, I have a feeling that they turned out, believing that their votes would make a difference. It's hard for me to believe that they really did make a difference...but the proof is there for the dubious. (...it was a giddy moment when Rumsfeld announced his resignation..tee hee..) Wow!! I sure hope that I'm really awake...

Golly, Toto. I don't think we're in Oz anymore!

Here's the latest from the Michigan Republican Party--
they're taking on immigration and same sex marriage.

Pretty scary, huh??

Now I know that I'm in Kansas.

For goodness' sake, if you read this, make sure you get to the polls and vote for anyone except the Republicans.
And, call all of your friends to remind them to vote, too.

(These are the ones that you should not vote for...)

Good Grief!!!

Drop and Cover (1950s)

I think that I must have entered a time-warp because I suddenly feel a need to drop to the floor and cover my head with my arms to ward off a Radical Liberal attack.

The item pictured came in the mail, urging me to vote absentee and save Michigan for the Republicans...or else.

Pictured are: 1) Marching members of the Taliban--with a banner saying "America, We Are Coming"; 2) Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, and Michael Moore; 3) The Michigan economy falling off a chart; and money being "squandered by Liberal Democrats". The accompanying text identifies Jennifer Granholm and Debbie Stabenow as the chief threats to "everything we care about". (How's that for hyperbole?)

I am offended.
